Bunions
Bunions are usually caused due to improper footwear selection and overpronation, otherwise known as arch collapse.
Treatments:
There are not many treatments that will reverse the effects of a bunion. Surgery and a hallux valgus night splint can be helpful but both have limited success. Orthotics can be used to relieve stress off of the big toe (1st MTP) joint and will prevent the bunion from growing further. The earlier orthotic intervention is used, the greater the results will be.
